Exclamation Help car refuses to Run.....

Well Today broke down and had a fuel cutout as the cause, well im assuming thats the problem.

Problem: When starting, car cranks over and runs for a second and shuts off.

Stuff checked/tried:
1. Fuel Pump: working u can hear the pump turn on
2. Air Filter: Little dirty but took off to see if air blockage, but nothing still...replaceing filter tomorrow.
3. Spark Plugs: Plan on Replaceing, has oil deposits(prolly valve guides getting bad), also a gas smell...plugs are NGK, im gonna try E3's tomorrow.
4. Spark Plug Wires: No wear or anything pretty much new 8.5mm
5. Check Oil Level: little low....i added 10w-40 on accident soo little thick for this time of year....i blame people who put oil in wrong spot after grabbing oil....gonna pick up 10w-30 tomorrow.
6. My car was low on fuel during this progress and we added 2 gallons of premium fuel with carb/tb additive stuff thinking maybe bad gas/water in line and pulled into garage with heater and still not running.

GAH is this is only mode of Transportation unfortantly, soo need to get running again.

it needs three things to run; fuel, spark, and compression. You're missing one.

I would normally guess a fuel problem given the cold temps, but if you can smell gas its most likely an ignition problem of some sort. check for spark!

Any ideas?? im gonna trying cleaning the connecters on the fuse distribution block to see if maybe dirt/oil/whatever isnt causing a short there....but other than that i dont know

Not being a dick; Take the big wires off, use stock ones. I had big wires on my civic and it made it run like ass. Went back to the stock wires, runs like a champ.

Well tomorrow i'll clean out my fuse block, it doesnt make since that all the cylinders would die of a sudden without any prewarning noises or anything soo i think it may be a fuse problem...not sure, if cleaning and checking fuses dont solve it, i'll look for my old wires and try that, but i dont think its wires if all the injectors all stuck on OPEN circiut.

^ i have seen the terminals in the under hood fuse boxes in neons corrode- could be the cause.

but fyi- a lot of mopar products with digital readout odometers can give you the ecm dtc by cycling the key on then off- repeat that 3 times and on the last cycle leave the key on, the dtc should display in the odometer

Found out the problem.....injector harness was rubbing the valve cover enuff to melt the rubber off and grounded them out when hitting the motor....got liquid tape and fixed it and then put heat resistant tubing on it and then wrapped it with Insulation Tapeing (that aluminum tape stuff) sooo i hope that prevents it from burning again.

im really getting annoyed with fuel injection//computers.....Now alternator not doing its job by chargeing the battery.....ive heard computer can be the one to blame, could be wire melted or who the hell knows...i'm getting fed up....i hate seeing the car just sit in the garage when i could be driving it inside of my mom's broke ass Pontiac Grand Am GT.....im considering rippin out engine and replaceing with 2.4l or maybe either Pt Cruiser GT or Srt-4 engine....all the same block as my 2.0L soo pretty much direct replacement just slightly different mounts which can me bought at Modernperformance.com everything else is from my 2.0l engine and will work. and would be fun to play with.

or....buy a daily car while i fix my neon.

Replaced: Alternator, Battery, fixed all so far messed up wires (only the fuel harness ones and one ground looked corroded soo cleaned it up), i took out computer and clean the connectors and any diry/debris, cleaned fuse box area and connectors....sooo running out of ideas unless maybe the circuit board in computer fucked up cuz ive heard they've known to fry the ground points.... and i really dont want to take to dodge for there nonsense and charging me up the ass for hooking it up and not finding anything wrong and calling me a liar...
